Online Trading Ltd, a small-to-medium online retailer company, involved me as a main software engineer, responsible for several tasks, such as catalyzing the process of digital transformation and workflow automation, as well as re-designing and re-factoring the system and software architecture.

Part of the successful results are the following achievements:

Adopting agile workflow methodology and integrating JIRA as a main project management tool, Gitflow as a standard in code production and a custom Scrum variation, configured to match the behaviour of the in-company events and business process
Migrating all production services to Micro-services based architecture, deployed on separate scalable VPS containers, with performance monitoring and continues integration support
Introducing HTTP/2 and SSL support for all client-side endpoints, includes validating and installing an Extended Validation Certificate and pre-configuring web and mail servers
Updating all live Drupal 6 installations to Drupal 7 with the following requirements:
- Migrate all website databases and import all data, related to customer orders, provided by external modules and systems
- Keep existing custom functionality, implemented in site administration, provided by additional modules, addons, patches and fixes
- Upgrade to new mobile responsive design theme with zero defect tolerance and strict requirement - to bootstrap from and state on the same look and feel while try to copy and mimic, as much as possible, current user interface and experience, as a key factor of reducing the update transition effect
Successfully releasing in production brand new webstore platform, built on top of Magento CMS. Leading the whole product development process
- At the technical side, related to domain and web/mail servers setup and cms core, themes and modules installation and configuration
- At the product owner side, related to brand & logo development, content management, marketing, advertisement, support and so on
INTEGRATION
- Integrate several external digital marketing platforms, such as Facebook and Google Ads APIs, and establish periodically running campaigns, based on conversion and retargeting oriented approaches. Third-party services like MailChimp and OneSignal is used as well
- Integrate several external online trading platforms, such as eMag and Olx APIs, and create real-time, bi-directional synchronization with webstores product catalogs database as well with the remote store management system
- Integrate several shipping providers, such as Dhl and Speedy, Ekont and adopt functionality from both direction - integrated creating of shipping requests and live tracking shipping location on web and mobile
- Integrate store management system MI Sklad with online website platforms Drupal and Magento. Automate in/out stock transactions and real-time store data synchronization
AUTOMATION
- Browser addon for Google Chrome, which automate product ordering process from provider webstore. Since not all traders have APIs, the plugin simulate natural user behaviour, and automatically opens each passed product in a new tab, select proper settings, like color, size, quantity etc and add it to the basket. As a result the system provide structured data set
- Mobile app for Android and iPhone, which provide the user with real time notifications and information update about changes in shipment status. On the back-end side the service provide API with fresh, synced data, processed by predictable logic based on tracking points dates and locations

BANKING SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS DEVELOPMENT

During my work at Epam I was dedicated to creating a 'first class' web solution for one of the biggest UK banks on the market. The project was entirely build 'offshore' - at the client's software development center at Edinburgh, Scotland.

Software development process clearly followed the best practises in agile methodologies as well as latest tools in code production, integration and automation techniques was used.

Highest security level was required at all levels - from physical access to the building to virtual code and data transfers.

Тhe product itself is on web based online platform for intermediaries mortgage brokers. The service includes a number of features to help users make the transaction as straightforward as possible, including searchable lending criteria, webchat, and the ability to scan and upload documents and track the status of applications from any device.

Technically the system was build on top of the custom client UI library and strictly validated to latest web standards at all levels.

Successfully released in production with full unit and end-to-end tests coverage.

HEALTHCARE SOFTWARE & APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT

At SoftServ I was part of the core team, responsible for redesigning the business logic of the application to 'process oriented', re-factoring the software architecture and actually rebuilding, up from the ground, a full Hospital Information System.

Тhe project strictly followed agile software development methodologies - SCRUM oriented with technology support of JIRA and Confluence.

The developers crew actively used GitFlow as a main workflow and in some situations had to actively use methods for 'reverse engineering'.

The main technology in use was AngularJS as a core framework. CGM Components was used for building UI/UX and implementing required business logic.

Тhe whole system had full Unit&Е2Е test coverage, provided by Karma&Jasmine, Protractor and validated by Istanbul.
